Best Overall - HP Omen Obelisk Desktop PC - 875-1040st

True to its name the HP Omen Obelisk has a body design that is as simple lined as possible and the only LED is for the Omen logo on the front. With a black body and a relatively compact size, this PC can fit into smaller spaces easily as well. There is a lot of power packed into this PC despite its size. The inside doesn't have much extra space but isn't crowded which shows an efficient usage of space. The tower is easy to open, all it takes is the click of a button and the panel pops open. There is a closed-loop water cooling system that leads to the fan at the top of the case, this desktop is very quiet most of the time. Outside on the top, there is an inlet that has the power button and 2 USB 3.1 ports. The rear has 5 more similar ports as well as a USB Type-C. For processing, this variant has the 9th generation Intel Core i5-9600K Processor with liquid cooling and the GPU is an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Super which has its own dedicated 8GB GDDR6 RAM. This graphics card features real-time ray tracing, artificial intelligence, and programmable shading; all of which make games super detailed and realistic. It can support games at 4K at 60fps as well. The RAM for the main processor is HyperX 8GB DDR4-2666 SDRAM and storage is a SATA with 1TB of space running at 7200rpm. With inbuilt WiFi and Bluetooth, this PC is essentially plug and play. For the money, this is a high-value purchase that can take care of all your gaming needs; the HP Omen Obelisk is among some of the best options in the market.

Best Features - Acer Predator Orion 3000

Acer's gaming machines are under the Predator label. The Orion 3000 is a very powerful gaming PC, it has an Intel Core i7-9700K with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 graphics card. This graphics card is based on the NVIDIA Turing architecture and features real-time ray tracing and AI-powered DLSS 2.0. It even has its own dedicated 8GB GDDR6 RAM so the visual load is taken on by this and not the main processor. For the main processors tasking there is 16GB DDR4 SDRAM, a high-performance variant that can handle all the task execution needed. The storage drive is a 1TB HDD, giving you ample space to store your information and install heavy games. Acer has installed Windows 10 Home 64-bit as the OS. Porting options include one USB Type-C 3.1, three USB 3.0, four USB 2.0, three DisplayPorts, an HDMI and a DVI as well. This gives one a lot of ports to connect all their desired peripherals and devices. The design of the Orion 3000 is somewhat more aggressive, with angular lines on the front, the Predator logo and a very cool triangular power button. The textured plastic has LEDs behind it; two blue strips going down. This gaming PC packs a lot of power and could easily be used for other tasks such as video editing as well. The Acer Predator Orion 3000 is a costly option.

Best High End - Corsair ONE i145s Compact

Corsair Gaming is one of the top options when it comes to gaming PCs. The ONE series from them has multiple choices, with the i145s Compact being a great pick. The amount of power this compact tower holds is impressive. It makes use of the Z370 Mini-ITX motherboard from Asus, with the Intel Core i7-9700K jacked into it for processing. Graphics are handled by the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Super which has its own RAM at 8GB from the GDDR6 standard. This GPU has all the latest processing features and things such as real-time ray tracing as well as AI-powered DLSS 2.0. The Turing architecture also allows for concurrent processing so the GPU has Simultaneous floating-point and integer processing, allowing for more efficient computation. It even features NVIDIA G-Sync, VR and HDR so all the visuals are super slick and can be at 4K depending on your choice of settings. Along with this powerful CPU and GPU, there are two chips of Vengeance 16GB DDR4-2666 RAM from the Corsair brand itself. These RAM chips are made with multiple layers and have pure aluminium heat-spreaders for faster dissipation of heat which leads to better overclocking abilities. Corsair has also made the storage optimised for a gaming environment. this PC has a 960GB M.2 NVMe SSD as well as a 2TB 5400RPM 2.5” HDD. To keep all these components cool there is a massive fan on the top and liquid cooling for the CPU and GPU. The whole body is also made from bead-blasted aluminium, this helps it act as a heat sink. There is a whole array of ports so you can connect pretty much anything you want to for your gaming. This includes 2 USB 3.1 ports, a combo headphone/mic port and an HDMI 2.0 on the front. The rear has 2 USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-A and Type-C ports, 2 USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports, 2 USB 2.0 ports, a 7.1 audio out, Ethernet, a PS/2port and 3 DisplayPorts. The overall design itself is minimal with a hint of RGB light pipes which one can control using the Corsair iCue software. The look is very neat and given the size, this desktop can easily be placed on top of the desk and not under it. If you pick this gaming PC be ready to dish out a large amount of money, it is the most premium priced option on this list.

Best Affordable - Acer Nitro 50 Gaming Desktop N50-600-UR13

Gaming is an expensive hobby, one needs a powerful machine to actually play their games with ease. To keep in mind that not everyone can or wants to spend too much on such a machine, there is a relatively more affordable option when compared to the others on this list. The Acer Nitro 50 is that option and despite its lower price, it is still quite powerful in performance. The outside is a mix of red and black, a look that not everyone would like, but the main focus is the performance. Generally, the design is neat and not too aggressive with some red LEDs to add a bit of spice to the feel. It has the Intel Core i5-8400, a Hexa-core processor that has hyper-threading abilities for more computational power. This is combined with RAM at 8GB and one can opt for more all the way up to 64GB; the more the RAM the higher the performance capabilities as well as a higher cost. The Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 has 6GBs of its own RAM so it takes the load for graphics rendering. Storage is managed by a 256GB SSD and this PC even features an optical drive for DVDs to be read or burned. One can make use of an SD card reader on this PC if they need to. There are a ton of other porting options so one can connect all their peripherals. This includes four USB 2.0 ports, 2 USB 3.1 ports, 1 USB Type-C Gen 2, an HDMI port, DVI and a DisplayPort. There is also an audio out and in, as well as a headphone jack. For the OS, Acer has gone with Windows 10 Home and this gaming PC comes with a mouse and keyboard. Another really cool feature is a Qi-certified charging pad on the top of the tower, so you can keep any device with wireless charging capabilities there to charge it while you game. LAN connectivity is super streamed with the Realtek Dragon chip. All this for a relatively lower price makes the Acer Nitro 50 a good choice for someone who wants to spend within a budget.

Best Design - Alienware Aurora Ryzen Edition

If a cool design with a lot of power is what you are looking for, the Alienware Aurora R10 is considered one of the best gaming PCs and would be a great option for you. The look is inspired by the name and could very well be a piece of alien tech, with a super cool LED ring that has 16.8 million colours. This is a winning partnership with AMD for its Ryzen processors. It comes with the AMD Ryzen 9 3950X, a very powerful processor with multithreading and a high number of cores. With 32-threads and 16-cores this processor is pretty much able to take on anything you can throw at it. On top of this, there is the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Ti, a beast of a GPU. This GPU features real-time ray-tracing, AI-based DLSS 2.0 and vapour cooling. It has a massive RAM chip of its own at 11GB which is at the GDDR6 standard, making it super fast. This lets it put out 4K at higher than 60fps and some claim it can produce even higher resolutions with smooth processing. The RAM of 32GB DDR4 is a whole lot of tasking power as well, between the CPU, GPU and this amount of RAM this PC can chew up everything. Storage at 1TB of the NVMe M.2 SSD standard is also a high-performance option. To keep all this thermally efficient, there is an Alienware branded liquid cooler on top of the CPU, which is relatively small but works well. There are multiple configurations when it comes to these components, so one can change it up to suit their budget. If you can spend more you could max out your gaming PC or have it at relatively lower power but still be a very capable machine. Alienware provides ample porting options for your use, this includes 3 USB 3.1 ports, a USB TYpe-C and headphone jacks on the front. The rear houses 6 USB 2.0 ports, 4 USB 3.1 ports, a USB Type-C, Ethernet and an array of audio ins and outs. It would be better for the look to use the ports on the rear as the ones on the front affect the look as they are placed bang centre in a column arrangement. On top of all this, this PC also features one of the best game PC optimisation softwares; the Alienware Command Centre. This lets you set up game-specific profiles, control lighting, tune audio, tune components, monitor the system and even has a game library and launcher. One can flip the thermal profile in an instant to max-out performance. This is a powerful machine that looks super cool as well. The price is high, especially if one chooses the better components.
