Form the successful line of Acqua Di Gio colognes, Absolu is a more spicy, woody iteration that was released in 2018. The basics are an infusion of water tones and wood tones, with a lot of supporting tones to create a depth.

The top layer is home to sea notes, lemon, apple, pear, grapefruit and bergamot. This gives the opening a fruit and citrus cut, leading to the heart notes which include lavender, geranium and rosemary. These three heart notes create the floral and grass freshness for an open island feel.

At the base of Acqua Di Gio Absolu, one finds wood notes, amber wood, labdanum, tonka bean and patchouli. The latter two, tonka bean and patchouli, both have a strong hint of spice which is a great way to finish alongside the woodiness. This makes for a good mix of masculinity but with a sense of freshness, making for a more full and complex fragrance that would be classy.
