Design Philosophy

The Ali Xeeshan brand is synonymous with the modern lengha design that has become a staple for every girl and young women at weddings. Ali uses various architectural motifs, shapes and elements from Persian, Mughal and South Asian history that he fuses with various contemporary compositions of prints on luxurious fabrics.

These glamorous and elaborately embellished ensembles are a mix of delicate craftsmanship with voluminous drapery. The designer's own sense of style stands out on the runway as he is a quirky and eccentric maestro of fashion, his bright ethnic colour compositions compliment the western gown silhouette being able to transform Pakistani brides into a multi-cultural tapestry. 

Luxury Pret

The luxury pret wear is minimal blending eastern traditional woven fabrics with a western contemporary bohemian silhouette. The Kaftan shirt design has roots in Persian and Mughal robe style made from pure georgette and silk fabric it has a luscious drape. The folds and pleats are symmetrical coming together at the waist in the front to create tension and hourglass figure. The release is felt in the free-flowing long length of the shirt that is given a gradient colour effect or bold stripes with gold leather motifs. The finishing touches are statement gold sequins, gota handwork, feroza stones and gold studs along with other modern gold statement embroideries. 

Ideally, partywear should be comfortable and dressy enough to be worn in the afternoon and evening. The pure white cotton kurtas designed by Ali Xeeshan are breezy and easy to wear, they can be dressed up with a bold statement shawl and accessories or paired with French organza dupatta. The border and cuffs are also detailed with organza to add embellishment to the kurta. In other contemporary shirt designs, there are padded shoulders on the shirt with modern elements like bows, parrots, flamingos, seashells, flowers and in quirky yet handcrafted ornamentation. The cotton button-down shirts are reinvented with traditional gold zari threadwork motifs available in extra small to extra large sizes. 

Each collection has 15 20 designs that make selecting the perfect outfit satisfying and personal. The fun Mughal rajbari cats, elephants and pugs are some of the creative and fun elements of the western pret wear collection. The big bows add feminine drama to the traditionally loose boyfriend collar shirt transporting them into runway-ready outfits.  

Evening Wear

The Ali Zeeshan creates an oriental tapestry of various cultures in his bridal designs. These motifs are a collection of his own personal inspirations from various regions including South Asia, the Middle East and Europe. The artisinal craftsmanship is grounded in Pakistani ancestral techniques but the motifs are from everywhere, the bridal dress is shaped like a gown similar to a peshwas or lengha but structured like mainstream Indian bridals. The cholis are cropped and heavily embellished showing the waist and accentuating the curves of the body. These dresses are bold and modern as they have off-shoulder necklines that highlight collar bones and create a dramatic hourglass figure.
