Apple launched an upgraded version in March of 2019. The upgraded version boasts a 9th-generation Intel Core i9 processors and Radeon Vega graphics. The new device can support 6-core or 8-core Intel processors, which is a first for the iMacs. According to Apple, the 21.5-inch model is up to 60% faster than the previous iteration, and the 27-inch variant is up to 2.4 times faster. The new model comes in striking colours such as Indigo, Ruby, Sage, Snow, and Graphite.
In June 2017, Apple announced a 21.5-inch variant, with "Retina 4K" display at a resolution of 4096 × 2304 pixels, and the latest Intel 7th generation i5 processor. This version is equipped with an 8 GB RAM and up to 3.6GHz Turbo Boost. The buyers can choose between the storage capacities of 1 TB or 1TB Fusion Drive. Apple’s iMac with 4K display has Intel Core i5 quad-core processor with 3GHz or 3.4GHz clock speed. You can also choose between Radeon Pro 555 with 2GB of video RAM for graphics or a Radeon Pro 560 with 4GB of video RAM. Apple’s 27-inch model with the 5K display is equipped with the quad-core Intel Core i5 processor, clocked at 3.4GHz, 3.5GHz or 3.8GHz. This version has a Turbo boost of up to 4.2Ghz and comes with 8GB RAM.
