It also comes with an improved A12Z processor and offers support for the separately sold Magic Keyboard with a trackpad. The integrated LIDAR sensor provides improved AR capability and the 12.9 inches screen delivers a 120Hz refresh rate. Third Generation 2018

The third generation was launched in 2018 with 11-inch and 12.9-inch sizes. Featuring the edge-to-edge Liquid Retina displays, Face ID, improved 12MP and 7MP cameras, USB-C connectors, and Apple A12X Bionic processors. these are the first iPad models to offer up to 1TB of internal storage as well as tap-to-wake LCD displays. However, the Touch ID and the headphone jack have been exempted from the third-generation tablets. In place of the Touch ID, the device displays a Face ID feature.
