One of the most recognised brands for women started in 1910 as a hat shop with Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel behind it. In subsequent years, it expanded into other areas of fashion pushing the boundaries. Chanel is one of the first brands to include pants for women and also use materials that were at the time used for men such as tweed and jersey. Known for inventing the women's wardrobe basic the 'little black dress' in 1926. The Chanel perfume No. 5 is one of the most famous fragrances in the market ever. Coco maintained creative control till her passing in 1971. Later, fashion icon Karl Lagerfield has also served as chief designer from 1982 till 2000.

Bleu De Chanel

Since its release in 2010 Blue De Chanel has been a success. The man behind the mix is perfumer Jaques Polge. An invigorating mix of botanical notes that include citrus, spice and woods. With notes of ginger, cool mint, nutmeg, pink pepper and citruses. The floral additions of labdanum, jasmine and patchouli add an earthy layer; while the exotic weight comes from vetiver, sandalwood and cedar. All this comes together to make a refreshing masculine fragrance. An interesting feature of the bottle is the magnetic cap, which always makes the logo centre upon closing; with the double 'C' Chanel logo in line with the bottle.

Chanel perfumes are available at a higher-end price as they source the best ingredients to concoct their range. In the same light, Bleu De Chanel is also from a higher price point.
