CA Sports, a Pakistani brand

Founded in 1958 by one Mr Charaghdin Abdulrasheed, whose initials also serve as the name of the brand. CA Sports is based in Sialkot, a town known for their prowess at making sporting good including the footballs for the FIFA Worldcup. Mr Charaghdin Abdulrasheed used to handcraft the bats himself, with a focus on detail. Successfully making bats that have been used by players in the national team of Pakistan and by international players. The curved bats that are common today were first produced by CA Sports in 1979. In Pakistan, their main competitor is MB Malik.

The brand has sponsored many national & international players such as Javed Miandad, Saeed Anwar, Misbah-ul-Haq, Brian Lara, Mahela Jayawardene, Marvan Atapattu, Chris Gale, Eoin Morgan and more. They also provide the kits for the Afghanistan national team.

CA Sports don't only produce bats, they also produce a full range of cricket paraphernalia which includes the helmets, various protective pads & guards, different kinds of gloves, cricket bags and cricket balls. Aside from this, there is a range of athletic apparel and footwear. The footwear includes shoes for cricket, running, soccer and some sandals. For the knocking of a bat CA Sports makes a single-sided hammer. The side to be used for knocking is similar to a cricket ball.

A small range of badminton rackets and shuttlecocks are also available with the brand.

CA Sports is a competitively priced brand but the top end of their product range is expensive. Their quality and standards meet international Test, ODI and T20 levels. But still, with a more accessible range that more people can afford to play the unofficial national sport of Pakistan, cricket.
