Canon Eos 4000d

An easy to use budget-friendly camera, EOS 4000D is great for young photographers who are looking to learn digital photography. The 4000D uses SD/SDHC/SDXC cards for storing data and can take up to 500 images on a single charge. It uses a Li-ion LP-E10 rechargeable battery pack. Though Canon EOS 4000D prices in Pakistan vary greatly, they fall in the lower price range.

Design & Build

EOS 4000D is a compact and lightweight camera that has a textured coating on the robust front grip but the lens mount is made out of plastic. It makes the camera look cheap and not very robust. While this may not be a problem if you are not likely to switch lenses but it will come as an inconvenience if you regularly change optics. The frequent lens swapping may wear out the plastic lens mount sooner than it should. However, the controls on the camera are logically placed that makes operation easy and convenient.

Screen & Viewfinder

With a small screen size of 2.7 inches, Canon EOS 4000D also doesn't have a touchscreen display. There is also a drop in the resolution at 230k dots which makes you feel like you are using a 5 year older camera. The viewfinder has 95% frame coverage with 0.80x magnification. While using the viewfinder, the camera features a nine-point, all-cross type phase-detection system. 

Sensor & Resolution

Canon EOS 4000D uses an 18 megapixel APS CMOS sensor, capable of shooting 18-megapixel photos and Full-HD videos. With 4000D, users can shoot pictures at the maximum resolution of 5184 x 3456 pixels and videos at 1080p with 30, 25 and 24 frame rates.

Processor & Performance

EOS 4000D uses a DIGIC 4+ processor with 14-bit image processing. With a burst rate of 3fps, the 4000D is one of the slowest cameras out there. The pictures look solid and deliver good contrasts and saturation but in some setting, they seem overexposed. Canon 4000D might perform well in broad daylight but challenging lighting conditions make shooting difficult and result unimpressive with this camera.

Autofocus System & Connectivity

The camera uses an outdated 9 points AF system and lets you shoot at a maximum ISO sensitivity of 6400. While Canon 4000D lacks NFC and Bluetooth connectivity, it offers WIFI capability as well as HDMI Type C and USB connectivity.

The best lenses that are compatible with 4000D include Canon EF 50mm f/1,4 USM, Canon EF 50mm f/1.8, Canon EF 85mm f/1,8 USM, Sigma EX 70-200mm f/2,8 II APO HSM DG Macro, Tamron AF 18-270mm f/3,5-6,3 Di II VC LD IF Macro and Sigma EX 28mm f/1,8 DG ASP Macro.

In terms of specs, the 2000D is a better option than the 4000D in the same price range. However, both cameras lack some key specs and features which takes the thrill out of their low prices.
