Canon Eos 200d

The 200D possesses an APS-C CMOS sensor, Dual Pixel CMOS AF, DIGIC 7 image processor, ISO 100-25600 range, optical viewfinder with a 9-point AF system, 3.0-inch 1040k dot articulated touchscreen, 1080p60 video with microphone input, and built-in Wi-Fi, NFC and Bluetooth. The Canon EOS 200D mounts a rechargeable li-ion battery and weighs 453 grams.

Design & Build

Known as the EOS Kiss X9 in Japan and EOS Rebel SL2 in the Americas, the Canon EOS 200D was released in 2017 and comes with an improved Dual-pixel CMOS AF system and DIGIC 7 image processor. It is an easy-to-use camera with instinctive controls and a smartphone-like touchscreen. The camera’s EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 III zoom lens is aptly adaptable for everyday shots of people and places.

Image Processing

The red-eye reduction lamp helps you get rid of the awful red eye in some photos and the Image Processing includes multiple modes such as Highlight Tone Priority, Auto Lighting Optimizer, Long exposure noise reduction, High ISO speed noise reduction, Distortion correction and Diffraction correction. The fun and creative filters in EOS 200D include Grainy B/W, Soft Focus, Fish-eye effect, Water painting effect, Toy camera effect, Miniature effect, HDR art standard, HDR art vivid etc.

Vari-Angle Touchscreen

The Vari-Angle screen rotates and allows for shooting from unusual perspectives, while the bright optical viewfinder lets you take brighter and sharper pictures. The Vari-Angle display gives you one of the world’s fastest Live View AF. 

Sensor & Flash Coverage

The large APS-C sensor on the camera is ideal for portraits and beautifully blurs out the background while keeping the subject sharp and prominent. The Built-In Flash Coverage in Canon EOS 200D is up to 18mm focal length.

Performance

Owing to the camera’s fast focusing and speedy responsive performance, the lag-free optical viewfinder with 9-point autofocus lets you see the world as it is and The camera’s Dual Pixel CMOS AF with its continuous focusing, lets you shoot great quality Full HD movies. EOS 200D is capable of shooting Full HD videos of 1920 x 1080 (59.94, 50 frames per second) inter-frame, 1920 x 1080 (29.97, 25, 23.98 fps) inter-frame and 1920 x 1080 (29.97, 25) lite inter-frame.

The guided user interface on the Canon EOS 200D acts as your own personal photography tutor that assists you in selecting the aptest settings for the effect you have in mind.

Always on Bluetooth

You can easily view, edit and share photos from the 200D to your smart devices or computer. The always-on Low Energy Bluetooth link on your camera allows you to access it anytime you want, without draining the battery excessively.
