Sensor & Viewfinder

With a 24.2-megapixel Dual pixel CMOS image sensor, the EOS 800D covers a focus area of 45 cross-type AF points and supports One-Shot, AI Focus, AI Servo, Live View (FlexiZone - Multi, FlexiZone - Single, Face detection, Movie Servo) focus modes. Canon EOS 800D has an Optical pentamirror Viewfinder with 95% coverage and 0.82× magnification. 

Display & Build

The display is a 3 inch Clear View II colour TFT vari-angle LCD touchscreen with 1,040,000 dots. With the dimensions of 131.0 x 99.9 x 76.2mm and weighing approx. 532g, the 800D is pretty lightweight and compact.

Processor & Performance

It uses a DIGIC 7 image processor. Though 4K video capture is missing from the EOS 800D, you can shoot up to 1920 x 1080 videos at 50 frames per second. With a shutter speed of 1/4000 s – 30 s, the Canon 800D supports continuous shooting of up to 6 fps (4.5 fps in Live View mode). 

Battery

The camera is backed by a Li-Ion LP-E17 rechargeable 1800 mAh battery that would give you 600 shots before draining out.

Data Storage

Max video duration is 29min 59sec and max file size is 4GB if the file size exceeds the 4GB limit, the EOS 800D creates a new file automatically). Data is stored in SD/SDHC/SDXC memory cards

Remote Shooting & Data Transfer

Wireless sharing and control on the Canon EOS 800D is pretty simple. All you got to do is connect your EOS 800D to your smartphone or tablet for instant image sharing and remote camera control. The camera has WIFI, NFC and Bluetooth connectivity options.
