Combivair

A combination of Budesonide + Formoterol Fumarate, Combivair is a bronchodilator and anti-asthma drug. Not to be confused with Combivir, that is an HIV medicine. Combivair comes in capsules and is for patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease COPD and multiple other breathing disorders etc. The capsules are not meant to be taken orally and are intended to be used through Revolizer or Rotahaler only., breathed in through the mouth. It works as a bronchodilator that clears the breathing passage and dilates airways that have narrowed due to certain illnesses. It contains steroids and will not work for the treatment of acute bronchospasm or asthma attack. 

Combivair Uses & Side Effects

It relaxes airway muscles and increases airflow to the lungs. It is also used in the prevention and treatment of chronic asthma, emphysema, bronchospasm, bronchitis, COPD or narrowing of the airways in the lungs. Side effects may include tremors, palpitations, nervousness, headache, mouth/throat dryness or irritation, changes in taste, cough, nausea or dizziness etc. 

Combivair Dosage & Warning

This medicine is available only with your doctor's prescription. Do not give this Combivair to anyone younger than 6 years old. The dosage depends on your condition and response to treatment. Make sure you discuss your medical history with your doctor to ensure the safety of taking this medicine. Those with thyroid disorders, heart disease, high blood pressure, seizures, low levels of potassium in blood and diabetes should take this medicine with their doctor's advice. Store at room temperature away from moisture, heat, or cold temperatures. Keep all medicine away from children and pets.
