The Dell Latitude E4310

Released in 2010, this machine is a simple design with aluminium-magnesium components for the body. It came with a single USB 2.0 port as well USB/eSATA combo. It has a combined headphone and mic port, Ethernet as well as a VGA output.

The display comes in one size variant at 13.3 inches and is a WLED display, with a resolution of 1366x768 pixels with a matte surface that only reflects a little. Security includes a Smartcard reader, fingerprint detection as well as the TPM 1,2 chip. It supports Bluetooth, WiFi and gigabit ethernet for connectivity.

Internals

The Latitude E4310 has the Core i5 CPU from Intel. This processor feature Intel's Hyperthreading a well as Turbo-Boost, both of which enhance the performance. The graphics processor is integrated with the CPU and is the Intel GMA HD. The RAM is 4GB DDR3 RAM, which is towards the lower end, meaning this machine is made for general tasks and regular office work. A heavier load would bog the CPU down.

The storage it came with was a 250GB SSD, this drive is faster than the HDDs which helps save time on the read and write processes.

A dated laptop today that would work for simple tasks. The price of this machine today is in the lower ranges and one can, at times, also find refurbished devices in the market.
