Built with Dell's Tri-Metal chassis the Latitude E6520 is a rugged machine that can take some bangs and spills. It meets the MIL-STD-810G standards fro durability while still looking like a consumer laptop. With a large 15.6 inch display, that has a resolution of 1,920x1,080p. The Keyboard is slightly spaced, with a comfortable reach and this laptop features trackpad as well as the pointer nub set keyboard-central.

The Dell Latitude E6520 features three USB 3.0 ports, with one that has power for charging portable devices. It has HDMI and VGA for visual outputs. Also featuring an SD card reader as well as a combo jack for headphones and a mic. There is a Kensington lock slot for security too.

A LAN port provides one with Gigabit Ethernet and the Intel Centrino wireless card handles WiFi, Bluetooth and Wi-Di for wireless display. Many laptops have dropped the CD ROM, but the Latitude E6520 features a DVD reader and writer. With a webcam for your video calls and digital conferences.

Featuring a 500GB SSD for your storage, which is a decent size for most regular office work. The RAM is at 8GB, combined with the 2.7GHz Intel Core i7, which is also found in some Alienware gaming laptops from the same era. For graphics, there is the AMD Radeon HD 8790M.

The battery is somewhat underpowered at about 6 hours, but given the overall power of this machine, it does drain it faster than normal.

The Dell Latitude E6520 is available for affordable prices today and one can also find refurbished devices. The specs may vary a bit with each specific machine.
