Dior Homme Sport

As a brand Dior is one of the leaders of fashion, especially post WWII; it brought the fashion capital back home to Paris. The brand has a lot of other products aside from clothes, this includes fragrances. With many options in colognes and many very successful ones that the market has loved for decades, especially Dior Fahrenheit and Sauvage. Dior Homme is a successful line with quite a few different iterations. Homme Sport is also a hit from this line.

Dior Homme Sport

Dior Homme was meant for a broader demographic of men. With Dior Homme Sport, the brand was targeting the sporting young man more so. For the sporty feel the scent is lighter and a lot more fresh, but still with some wood and spice.

To create this freshness the top layer has Amalfi lemon, bergamot and grapefruit; along with elemi resin to add some depth right at the top. The middle or heart notes are made from vetiver, Virginia cedar and ginger. This is where one finds some of the spice from ginger and a bit of green from vetiver. The wood notes are also present with the cedar as well as some from the vetiver.

At the base, there is lavender, sandalwood and rosemary. Adding in aromatics as well as some more, deeper wood notes. The rosemary brings in camphorous quality to trail off at the end.

Overall this scent is an explosion of freshness, even with the wood notes it still remains more toward the lighter side due to the fine balance created by the nose of Francois Demachy.

Dior Homme Sport is a great cologne for the day and warmer seasons, people also do wear it at other times and during other seasons but this is of course a matter of personal preference.

This cologne has a strong scent, creating a lot of sillage and keeping a fresh aura about one for longer periods. The price of Dior Homme Sport is in the mid ranges and may be a bit costly by local standards.
