The DJI Ronin S is their handheld digital gimbal that is built with top-grade materials. The handle is ergonomically well designed so it has better grip, they have achieved this by making it slightly rectangular instead of cylindrical. The handle is also long enough to hold comfortably with both hands. It can bear a weight of 3.6Kgs, which is impressive and more than ample for other accessories like lenses and microphones. It is built with an angled roll motor which makes it easier to see the LCD while filming.

Features

The DJI Ronin S has a list of cameras that it is compatible with, this lets you dial in manual focus via a knob on the gimbal. Many Nikon and Canon DSLRs are compatible. Also, there are a list of other accessories that the DJI Ronin S is compatible with. For microphones, monitors or lights there are attachment points built into the handle.

DJI has added a sports mode into the Ronin S, this sets the motors to respond a lot faster to your movements. To engage it the user needs to hold down the 'M' button.

The app

The Ronin S comes with an app that greatly expands its usage. Making things such as timelapse and motionlapse simple. Panorama shots are also included, you can select the image and the gimbal will do the work, creating easily stitchable images.

Along with this DJI has also let users access all the settings of the gimbal. Essentially users can set the movement or reaction time of each individual axis. Users can also auto-tune the motors in case they are making noise or seem off, this brings them back to a balanced setting for the weight they are handling.
