Dunhill has quite a few options of colognes for men, this includes Dunhill's X-Centric; a fragrance that is as aromatic as it is woody. This creates a finer balance so one has the best of both sides. There is also a hint of spice along the way, so one gets a tingle of that too.

Maurice Roucel and Frank Voelkl are the perfumers behind this creation. Between them, they have worked at a lot of the best fragrance brands in the world.

For the top notes, they chose a complex, seven-note mix. This includes cypress, green leaves, nutmeg, clary sage, cardamom, cinnamon and grapefruit. This gives it a green freshness along with a bit of spice from the nutmeg, cinnamon and cardamom. This layer leads on to the heart notes which have lotus, freesia, rose and cedar. A clear representation of aromatics.

The base helps root all these notes together and adds warmth to the overall. One finds musk, sandalwood, guaiac wood, patchouli and ambergris. Even at this level, one finds a little hint of spice with patchouli. There is also some sweetness from sandalwood and patchouli that adds to the overall aromatics.

Despite how successful Dunhill has been with its fragrances, it has options that are in an affordable range. X-Centric is also in a similar range, making it an easier purchase. This could be ideal for daily usage or for someone with a budget constraint.
