Evian Water

A luxury water brand that finds its sources in Switzerland; around Lake Leman. This and the costly packaging is why Evian mineral water is so costly. It is considered to be sourced at one of the cleanest places possible today.

The story goes back to 1789, during a walk the Marquis of Lessert drank water from a spring in the area. He allegedly suffered from kidney and liver problems, which he claimed were cured by drinking from the spring. In 1859 the business became a public entity by a longer name and over the years has changed a few hands. Today Evian water is owned wholly by the multinational food corporation known as Danone.
