The Gillette brand

A name that goes hand in hand with shaving, Gillette is known for its safety razors and other personal care products. The brand started in 1901, it is often credited with being the first to sell cheaper handles and have blades available separately but this is not true. It did, however, become the most successful such brand. Today Gillette is owned by Procter & Gamble, the conglomerate behind many such commercially known care items in the world.

An entirely disposable razor from Gillette that has 3 blades and an enhanced Lubrastrip above them that helps the blades glide over the skin a lot smoother. The blade head pivots a bit so it can easily veer over the bone structure and bumps. This also allows for a better handle of closeness to the skin so the shave is as neat as possible. For the handle there is a rubber grip which is a great safety feature as wet hands can get slippery, this could be dangerous while shaving.

The Gillette Blue 3 has improved rinsing, the brand claims that it is a 100% better than the predecessors. This is one of the most important features as a razor that does not rinse well is very annoying to shave with as the remnant hair feels abrasive. This can aggravate the skin and make it extra sore once the shave is done.

Comments

Despite being a safety razor, one must always be careful while shaving. This razor does not have a changeable bade-head and has to be disposed of entirely. The Gillette Blue 3 is available for competitive prices in Pakistan and each razor is good for up to 5 shaves.
