The brand Gucci

Just like LV and Prada, Gucci started as a leather goods brand launched Guccio Gucci in 1921. It eventually made it to the A-list of stylish luxury items, becoming a regular feature in top magazines. The family sold the brand in the 1990s, the change brought a new executive head; Tom Ford. After which the image was recentered for a more modern market with additions to the catalogue. These new additions also saw a line of new fragrances added into the brand.

Gucci Flora

Frida Giannini called Gucci Flora the younger sister of Gucci by Gucci, being a more daring, hedonistic side of the latter. Released in 2009, Flora smells very light, clean and pretty. A fragrance that is slated to be for a slightly younger audience. 

The top notes include citruses and peony. At the centre, there are rose and osmanthus extracts, with the base notes mixed around patchouli and sandalwood. This scent was created by an external firm known as Firmenich, a house that designs scents for many other brands too.

Gucci today is considered a classic brand with the double 'G' logo instantly recognizable. They also are conscious of the effect of production on the environment and keep an eco-friendly program, respecting the communities where the raw products are sourced. Their perfume range has varied prices, generally belonging to a higher price point, as does Gucci Flora.
