The printing abilities are based on inkjet technology, compared to LaserJet it is a tad bit slower but wins out when it comes to coloured images. Full page printing from an inkjet produces pages that are a bit damp due to the heated ink spray that is used.

On average the HP Deskjet 2130 prints 20 pages per minute for black and white, and 16 pages per minute for colour. This could vary a little based on the size of the image, of course. With the copy function, the speed is different, for black and white copying comes to 5 pages per minute. For colour, the copying speed is 3 pages per minute.

This is a smaller machine and can handle only 1000 pages per month. This is the max duty cycle defined by the brand but can be crossed to a certain degree. Still crossing it would mean extra strain on the printer.

There is a size limitation on this printer as far as paper goes. It prints A4 or smaller, given its own compact size.

The HP Deskjet 2130 connects to your computer via a USB connection. The driver/software installation is simple so one is not lost trying to figure out their new printer.
