Design & Build

Great for printing crisp text documents like letters and invoices etc. The look of HP Laserjet 1020 is stylish and its compact design doesn't take up much space on your desk. It measures 8.2 inches tall, 9.5 inches deep and 14.6 inches wide. There is a 150 sheet input tray and a second feed tray for a single sheet manual input at the front of the printer with adjustable paper guides. The printer has the output tray on its top that comes with a fold-out paper support.

Great for Low Volume Printing Tasks

LaserJet 1020 is an affordable option for low volume printing that is mostly done at homes. It delivers 14 high quality printed pages per minute. For high volume printing, 1020's 5000 pages per month duty cycle won't suffice.

Second Paper Feed

A rather great feature, this enables users to feed in envelopes and labels in a second feed tray without disturbing the main paper tray. This is great for those who like quick multitasking done.

Processor & Memory

HP LaserJet 1020 features a 234 MHz processor and onboard memory of 2 MB.  Its RAM totals up to 1 GB for 32-bit and  2 GB for 64-bit. 

Speed & Quality

The printer prints out the first page in as low as 10 seconds. Its quality is sharp and clear but the speed needs improvement. The printer can print out 14 text pages per minute and graphics at a rate of 12.61 PPM.

You can use HP LaserJet 1020 with almost all operating systems such as Linux. Windows 2000, Windows XP Professional, Windows XP Home, Windows Vista and Windows 7 and higher. The printer requires at least 120 MB of free hard disk space, driver download, 512 MB RAM and a 1 GHz processor. The printer features plug-and-play USB 2.0 connectivity that makes it compatible with most systems and allows a fast setup.
