Huawei P30 Pro

Huawei has set a new standard for itself and the entire smartphone industry when it launched its P30 Pro along with the lower end Huawei P30 on March 26 2019. Colour options for P30 Pro are Aurora, Amber Sunrise, Breathing Crystal, Black, Pearl White, Misty Lavender and Mystic Blue.

Display & Design

Huawei P30 Pro houses a bezel-less 6.47-inch OLED display. At the bottom of the display, there is an embedded fingerprint scanner, making for a larger looking display. The screen looks bright and sharp and the display quality looks fantastic while playing graphically intensive games or watching 4K videos. Protected by Gorilla Glass, the screen is now curved giving the phone a slimmer and sleeker look in your hand. Weighing 192g, P30 Pro is definitely not a one-handed phone and the all-glass body doesn't help either. Overall the phone gives a premium look and feel.

Performance & Platform

The P30 Pro is powered by a Kirin 980 chipset and is a super-fast phone that is capable of handling every task thrown at it. The Mali-G76 MP10 GPU helps games run smoothly even on high settings.

Cameras

P30 Pro cameras are the highlight of the phone. Adding to the phone's photography prowess, the quad-camera array on the rear offers 5x optical zoom, 10x hybrid zoom and huge 50x digital zoom, along with an amazing low-light performance. The rear setup has a 40-megapixel main sensor, 8MP telephoto camera, 20MP ultra-wide angle lens and ToF (time-of-flight) depth-sensing camera. Front of the phone houses a 32MP selfie camera that takes excellent self-shots. Though the phone has great cameras and can record astounding 4K videos, the only downer is that it offers 4K recording at 30fps only.

Battery, Storage & RAM

The P30 Pro uses a 6GB/8GB of RAM and has storage options of 128GB, 256GB, 512GB. The phone packs a staggering 4200mAh battery that lasts all day. It uses a 40W SuperCharge adapter that can replenish the handset by up to 70% in just 30 minutes. The Huawei P30 Pro is also a reverse wireless charging device as it lets you charge other Qi wireless charging supported devices on its rear. The phone has a central USB-C port at the base with a speaker and a SIM tray that can hold two nanoSIM cards, providing dual-SIM capabilities.
