Huawei Y8P Price in Pakistan

A brand that is one of the leaders in the affordable smartphone segment. This is not to say Huawei doesn't have powerful high-performance devices; their flagship models compete with Apple and Samsung's top models.

The Huawei Y8p

Among the many budget, mid tear offerings from Huawei is the Y8p. It is based on the Android 10 OS which is machine learning able and can pace up the smartphone's performance based on its ability to learn the user's patterns. This takes a week or two and then the smartphone tweaks internally to be optimised to its user. Layered onto this is Huawei's EMUI 10.1 user interface.

This EMUI 10.1 skin allows for more general customisation in comparison to the base Android layer.

Processor, RAM and storage

The component at the centre of this smartphone is the Kirin 710F, which has been produced using the 12nm method. This is an octa-core processor which has 4 cores at 2.2GHz that are Cortex-A73 and 4 cores that are at 1.7GHz and are Cortex-A53.

RAM options are either 4 or 6GB, with storage at 128GB. There is also an option to extend the storage using a nano memory card which adds another 256GB to your smartphone. 

Graphics on the Y8p are handled by the Mali-G51 MP4, an integrated chip system that is fused into the main processors. It uses the ARM design which is known as an SoC, System-on-a-Chip.

Camera and display

The Huawei Y8p is built using a triple camera module. The main sensor is at 48MP with an aperture of f/1.8 and is a tad bit wide, emulating a 27mm lens. The secondary is an 8MP sensor that is used for the ultrawide shots, the aperture for this sensor is at f/2.4. The third sensor is there for adding depth, this is at 2MP f/2.4.

Between these three sensors and the camera app, this smartphone can take many different kinds of shots. For selfies, Huawei has gone for the 16MP f/2.0 camera. Both sides support HDR shooting. Video recording for both is also at 1080p with a frame rate of 30fps.

The display is a large 6.3 inches and is ideal for one's camera usage. It is based on the OLED technology so it is crisp with high contrast and brightness. The resolution of the display is at 1080 x 2400p, bringing the pixel count to 418 pixels per inch.

Connectivity, sensors and the rest

The connectivity gamut is complete, this smartphone features WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, FM Radio, USB Type-C, 4G and even NFC. Furthermore, the USB system has the USB On-the-Go ability. Dual-SIM is essentially part of all the smartphones by Chinese brands, including this one.

For sensors, Huawei has included the accelerometer, compass, proximity and a fingerprint reader that is embedded into the screen. Also retaining the 3.5mm audio jack.

The battery is a pretty decent size at 4000mAh, which is based on the Li-polymer technology. This allows for the battery to be slimmer, meaning the smartphone's body can also be slimmer.

For a mid-range price smartphone, the Huawei Y8p is a good device that has a variety of good features. Powerful enough to use for most of one's regular application.
