Display & Design

Huawei Y9S is the successor to the Huawei Y9 Prime and has a fingerprint reader embedded into its power button on the right side. That makes it easy and convenient to open up the phone without having to fumble across the back of the device. It showcases a beautiful 6.39 inches display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. The screen is huge and looks premium with its notchless and end to end display. Huawei has included a silicone case along with the Y9S for protection against accidental falls or scratches. This was quite thoughtful of the manufacturers. The phone was launched in two colours; Midnight Black and Breathing Crystal.

Performance & Platform 

Y9S is a solid phone that delivers lag-free performance. The phone uses the latest Kirin 710F chipset that is also the most powerful in the business. Integrated with Huawei’s GPU Turbo 3.0, the Y9S is a great gaming device, capable of running PUBG Mobile and Call of Duty Mobile smoothly even on higher settings. The phone does a great job at multitasking and opening and closing of apps is a breeze. 

Cameras

The rear triple camera setup displays a trio of cameras with the primary sensor being a 48 megapixels snapper. A second 8MP camera and a third 2MP depth-sensing shooter complete the trio that take awesome daylight shots. The front selfie shooter is a 16 megapixels pop-up camera with great results. 

Storage, RAM & Battery

A dual-sim phone, the Y9S comes with a high-quality 6GB RAM and a 128GB internal storage. It is fueled by a huge 4000 mah capacity battery but lacks fast and wireless charging options.

Connectivity & Sensors

Sensors on the phone include the Fingerprint (side-mounted), accelerometer, gyro, proximity and compass sensors. Connectivity features are WIFI and Bluetooth whereas NFC and Infrared are missing on this phone.
