Design & Display

A lower-end version of the premium Hot 7 Pro, the Hot 7 features a 6.27 inches IPS LCD touchscreen display with a resolution of 720x1440 pixels. The phone has thin side bezels and has an overall familiar utilitarian design sported by a lot of smartphones. It has a good build quality and sports a premium looking metallic body. It was launched in Sandstone Black, Sky Blue, Champagne Gold, Milan Black, Purple, Sapphire Blue, Blush Gold and Bordeaux Red colours.

Performance & Platform

Powered by a 1.3 GHz Octa-Core Mediatek MT6580 (28 nm) processor coupled with Mali-400MP2 GPU,  The Infinix Hot 7 runs XOS operating system that is based on Android 8.0 Oreo (Go edition), though there is a separate HOT 7 X624 model that runs on Android 8.1(Go edition). The base model uses an older version of android and is not a powerful phone so the performance is mediocre. It also has trouble handling multiple tasks at the same time.

Cameras

With a dual-camera setup on the rear, the phone packs a primary 13-megapixel camera with an aperture of f/1.8 and a secondary 2-megapixel camera. The rear camera setup has autofocus. The front houses a single 8-megapixels selfie snapper. There is nothing out of the ordinary about its cameras but they perform well in daylight as compared to indoor shooting.

Battery & Storage

Infinix Hot 7 is backed by a 4,000mAh battery and gives a fairly good battery mileage. The phone comes with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded via microSD card up to 128GB with a dedicated slot. It is a dual-SIM smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM and microSD cards. 

Security Features

You will find the Face unlock feature on the Infinix Hot 7 that ensures secure and reliable locking and unlocking of your phone. There is also a back-mounted fingerprint sensor on the phone.

Connectivity & Sensors

Connectivity features include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, USB OTG, Micro-USB, 3G, and 4G. Sensors on the phone include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass/ magnetometer, proximity sensor, and fingerprint sensor.
