Infinix Hot S5

A mid-ranger, Hot S5 was launched in Quetzal Cyan and Violet colours and is available at affordable prices in Pakistan.

Display & Design

Infinix Hot S5 is a great looking device with an immersive 6.6-inch display. The phone comes with a punch-hole camera which is great in this price range. On the downside, Infinix Hot S5 doesn't come with Gorilla Glass protection which many rivalling companies are offering in this price segment. The sound output is loud and clear but the speaker is on the bottom left side of the phone and gets blocked while playing games. The UI is average too. S5 has a polycarbonate back which is a fingerprint magnet and gets scratched easily, so make sure to use a phone cover.

Performance, Platform & RAM

Many companies offer better performing mobiles at this price point. Infinix should step up from the mediocre performing Mediatek MT6762 Helio P22 that gives a below-average performance. Though Hot S5 has an ample 4GB RAM, multitasking comes off as glitchy and warms up the phone battery. It is not a pro-gamer device but is good for general usage. The fingerprint scanner and face unlock are pretty fast and they open the phone at a slight touch. 

Cameras 

The quad-camera rear setup takes decent pictures but might not be as good in low lighting conditions. The 16MP main camera on the Infinix Hot S5 has a great outdoor daylight photography performance but struggles in low lights which is a disappointment. Infinix S5 also has a 5MP wide-angle lens, 2MP depth sensor and a QVGA on the rear. The front selfie camera is a 32MP sensor that takes great pictures. There is no optical image stabilization in its cameras so the videos come out shaky. 

Storage & Battery

Infinix Hot S5 has a great battery life with its huge 4000 mAh battery. It lacks wireless as well as fast charging option, so it will take a lot of time to charge this phone up. The phone has a great battery life and can last up to a day of moderate phone usage.

Connectivity & Sensors

With WIFI and Bluetooth as the main connectivity options, the Hot S5 lacks NFC. The sensors on the phone include an accelerometer, compass, fingerprint (rear-mounted) and proximity.
