A specific type of technology in printers that uses ink which is heated and then sprayed onto a page to print. This is also why prints from an inkjet printer tend to be a bit damp when they come out. There are separate cartridges for the inks, some are B&W while others can print colour as well.

The inkjet printer is a commonly found machine, people use it in homes, schools and offices. The advantage of an inkjet printer is that it is better at printing coloured images, compared to a laserjet which may be faster and better at printing B&W text.

Disadvantages

The slight downside with inkjet printers is that they are a bit slower in comparison. Also if it is not used for a longer period the ink starts to dry up and choke. This can cause some issue when you print again after that time.

Different brands may have different names for their inkjet technology based printers, for instance, HP calls their range DeskJet. Epson, Canon, Brother and other brands all have inkjet printers.

The price of an inkjet printer varies depending on the brand also the exact model. Some would cost more if they have larger paper storage spaces, more speed while printing or wireless printing. A B&W inkjet printer would cost lesser than a colour one.
