Kitchen towels are made from cloth, but even a roll of paper towels can be called a kitchen towel as there is no specific definition aside from its purpose. The paper towels are basically larger sized toilet rolls. These large sheets work better for the kitchen as there is often more to absorb and wipe. Although the environmental impact of disposable kitchen towels is a concern.

A lot of times kitchen towels are made from cotton as it absorbs moisture well and has lesser lint that will get stuck to things. One can also find versions made from other materials or of varying thicknesses. Kitchen towels often have small loops on them so they can be hung on a hook. There are an endless number of colours and patterns to pick from.

The size of a kitchen towel is similar to a hand towel, small so it can be used without having to manage it. It is also something one can use in an emergency to put out flames or hold something warm.

One naturally needs to keep separate towels for wiping the counters and drying dishes.

Kitchen towels should be dried well in the sun so germs are gotten rid of. Also, they should be washed regularly to keep sure they are clean.
