This line of laptops from Lenovo is consumer-oriented. It competes against laptops such as Dell Inspiron, Acer Aspire, HP Pavillion, Samsung Sens and Toshiba Satellite. These are laptops that are for more regular users and not for power users.

The Lenovo IdeaPad 320 is built with a Core i5 8250U at the centre. The storage space is at 256GB and is an SSD drive which works a lot faster than the regular HDDs. For RAM there is 8GB, an ample amount for a normal user who has more simple tasks to execute.

Display and other features

The display on the Lenovo IdeaPad 320 has touch capabilities and is 15.6 inches based on LED technology. Touch adds to the user experience making certain actions a lot faster. The graphics are run by an Intel HD Graphics chip, this is a simple chip and will work well for everyday interactions; if you are looking for a high level of graphics it will not suffice. Watching one's movies would be in HD and good quality though, so once again this laptop is geared for average users.

For ports there is an array of options. This includes an RJ45 port, an HDMI port, two USB 3.0 ports, a headphone jack, one USB Type-C port and a 4-in-1 card reader that can handle SD, SDHC, SDXC, MMC. One can also make use of WiFi and Bluetooth for their wireless connectivity. Retaining a DVD-RW drive which is slowly becoming obsolete but can still be useful sometimes.

The webcam is a 720p once which is a decent amount of pixel power for one's video calls or quick pictures. For the battery Lenovo has opted for a 2 cell battery, this still does not last very long. The timing with surfing the web comes to about four and a half hours.

The Lenovo IdeaPad 320 is a relatively underpowered laptop, so if your usage is average this would work. If you are planning on making it do heavy tasks it will not be able to handle them well. The price is in the mid-ranges, as far as laptops go.
