A long coat has to be a comfortable fit or a slim cut, this does depend on body shape and also style preference. A baggy long coat is an absolute no by style dictates, it ends up looking shabby. The sleeves should cover your shirt cuff or suit sleeve completely. The lengths vary and which length is prefered is a personal choice.
