The Microsoft Surface range has done well and has many iterations. The Surface Pro 7 was launched towards the end of 2019 and was produced till early 2021. It is a powerful and compact device.

With the standard sleek Surface design, this iteration is also slim and portable. The display size is at 12.3 inches and is a touch screen. This device works as a laptop and also as a tablet and with the Surface Pen you could draw and write on it. There are thousands of levels of pressure sensitivity so one gets a great drawing experience, making this a good device for artists.

Internally the components include an Intel processor, one gets a choice between the Core i3, i5 and i7. Graphics are managed by Intel Iris Plus or the Intel UHD and RAM varies between 4GB, 8GB and 16GB. Storage can go from 128GB to 1TB. The storage is in an SSD format, this makes the rate of transfer high, getting one a speedy performance.

With Windows 10 Home, this is the simpler version that is not slated for offices. There are ample ports though, this lets one connect to various external devices. These ports include USBs, a 3.5mm audio jack, a Surface Connect Port and a card reader. There is also WiFi and Bluetooth for wireless connectivity.

Laptops generally have a camera only on the front, with the Surface Pro 7 one gets a camera on both sides. The front one is a 5MP one and on the rear, there is an 8MP one. These combined with the dual far-field mics let one take their video calls with ease. The speakers are stereo and have Dolby Audio.

For tablet functions the Surface Pro 7 has an ambient light sensor, an accelerometer, a gyroscope and a compass. These sensors work with various apps sending them crucial data for functioning.

The battery life one gets is at 10 hours, which is more than ample for most users.
