Another model by a brand that ruled the cellphone market. The Nokia 7.2 is a good phone for a mid-range price, with good up-gradation in comparison to its predecessor. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC, with a variation in the storage and RAM. The storage is either 64 or 128GB and the RAM options are between 4 or 6GB. The Nokia 7.2 has expandable storage, up to 512GB via a microSD card. Setup on the Android OS architecture, with the Android 9 Pie version being run. A version that has machine learning, enabling the phone to perform a lot better over time.
Display and connectivity
With a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protected screen, the Nokia 7.2 has a 6.3-inch display. Which is full HD plus HDR10 certified. An interesting feature that Nokia claims is the smartphone's ability to upscale SDR content into HDR in real-time. The brightness is at 500 nits which is quite powerful, along with a contrast ratio of 1:1500. The display being one of this smartphones best features.
To keep the phone jacked into the digital world it is built with all the needed features, including WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, AGPS and 4G LTE. Also supporting the high-quality audio streaming over Bluetooth technology from Qualcomm known as the aptX codec. Enhancing one's audio experience.
Cameras on the Nokia 7.2
Made in tie with Zeiss Optics, the cameras on this phone are powerful. It is using a 48MP main lens with an f/1.79 aperture – a big upgrade from the 12MP camera on the Nokia 7.1. Assisted by an 8MP wide-angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture and 118-degree field of view, and there's also a 5MP sensor to read depth. The front is a 20MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture, again a big jump from the 8MP lens on the previous model.
Sensors and battery
With a full range of sensors, including a fingerprint reader for extra security. The battery has a 3500mAh cell, based on the Li-Polymer technology that has a better overall life.
Nokia's 7.2 has also been upgraded with a new polymer composite frame that is twice as strong as polycarbonate and lighter than aluminium. Another interesting feature is the LED notification light embedded into the power button on the side. A competitively priced phone, with a more premium quality build and packed with features.
