OnePlus the brand

Owned by the same company that owns Oppo, Vivo and Realme. The parent company goes by the name BBK Electronics Corporation and is one of the largest producers of smartphones in the world. OnePlus is based on minimalism and functionality, the smartphones have to be simple and user-friendly.

In 2019 the brand made a deal with Robert Downey Jr. to be their brand ambassador for OnePlus 7 Pro. Before him, the famous Amitabh Bachan was also a brand ambassador for OnePlus.

OnePlus is mainly geared for users who want powerful smartphones. The brand has very few budget offerings available. Their major line is mostly using the brand name along with a digit to represent the newer model. The higher the number the newer the release. Till now all the OnePlus mobiles make use of Qualcomm processors. The RAM and storage is also from a higher point, coming together to make possible the high-end performance OnePlus aims for. The features introduced are always the cutting edge of the market, meeting expectations each time.

The OS used by OnePlus is Andoird-based. Older models have the OneUI layered onto that base, while the current models make use of OxygenOS. This is an improved version with lesser bloatware so it runs more smooth. The design is still simple, minimal lines; a formula that OnePlus applies to the outside of their mobiles too.

The OnePlus Nord is one of the few budget offerings from this brand. It is still quite a powerful mobile despite being from a tear lower than the regular offerings.

Some of the more successful OnePlus mobiles include the OnePlus 7T Pro, OnePlus 6T Mclaren and the OnePlus 8 Pro.

OnePlus mobiles are from a higher price point. The build quality and performance match the prices, with mostly positive customer feedback. There was a complaint that the customer services were lacking, something the brand actively worked on to improve.
