Oneplus Nord 2

OnePlus is the brand known for its simplicity in design and also in the manner their OS functions. Generally, OnePlus has produced high-end devices but the Nord line is a little more accessible. With the Nord 2, the brand has produced a powerful performer, with the ability to handle almost everything from its era, from games to creating quality content.

Performance

A chipset made using the 6nm method powers this device, the MediaTek MT6893 Dimensity 1200 5G. This is a high-performance processor and has the Mali-G77 MC9 along with it to handle the graphics load. This helps it take on mobile gaming with ease. Tasking power is provided by either 8GB or 12GB of RAM, either of these options is quite a bit. These three chips combined create a smooth experience.

Storage has options as well, either it can be 128GB or 256GB. One needs to pick with care as there is no possibility to extend via an SD card slot, so what you buy is what you will have to work with.

For the OS OnePlus has the Android 11 base with their own OxygenOS 11.3 layered on top. This layer is neat and works well, with a lot more customisation and better visual appeal in comparison to bare Android.

Display and camera

OnePlus has used the Fluid AMOLED for the Nord 2, this display is more conservative with power usage and has great pop with its colours. The resolution is at 1080 x 2400 and with the display size at 6.43 inches the pixels per inch come to 409. This pixel count is high, making for a very crisp quality and this device also features HDR10+. At the top of all this, there is Corning Gorilla Glass to keep your display as safe as possible.

With a triple camera setup, the main sensor is at 50MP f/1.8 and shoots similar to a 26mm lens. The secondary is an 8MP lens that is used for ultrawide shots. At the end comes the 2MP sensor that is there for macro shots. These three sensors combined with the camera app allows for things such as HDR, Pano, Bokeh and more. Video can be shot at 4K with a 30fps frame rate or at 1080p with a more varied frame rate from 30 to 60 to 240fps.

Selfies are shot by a 32MP sensor on the front, making for high-quality pictures.

Battery and other features

With a 4500mAh cell, the battery is ample, especially with the 6nm chip and Fluid AMOLED. The power management is good so your battery lasts a long while. It also features fast charging so one can charge up quick in case it is low.

You get wireless connectivity in the form of WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and Data up to 5g with the Nord 2. Wired connectivity is done via a USB Type-C 2.0. Sensors on this device include an accelerometer, a compass, a fingerprint reader, a gyro and a proximity sensor as well. 

The Nord 2 is from a comparatively cheaper line but is still just above a mid-range. It is available in Blue Haze, Grey Sierra and Green Woo.
