Oppo F9

The Oppo F9 has upgraded processors and a vibrant colour profile design as compared to its predecessors. It has an Octa-core Mediatek Helio P60 that effectively runs with a large 4 GB or 6 GB RAM, making it capable of delivering smooth high-quality video streaming. 

Design

The Oppo F9 comes in colours Sunrise Red and Twilight Blue. The gradient flows and shifts on various angles and there are petal-shaped patterns to enhance the colour. The complimentary metallic frame with chrome accents outlining the rear cameras gives it a sleek, modern and eye-catching appearance. The Corning Gorilla Glass 6 adds durability and safeguards the display screen from any sudden damages due to slipping out of the user's hand and falling on the ground. 

Display 

The Oppo F9 has a Full HD Plus measuring at 6.3 inches capable of delivering 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution with a cinematic 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The HD resolution is usually found in this segment of phones is 300 PPI whereas the F9 has 409 PPI density which means it can achieve rich vivid colour display. It is great for watching videos and playing mobile games with better processing performance as compared to OPPO F7. The LTPS LCD screen adjusts to brightness and delivers 16M colour gamut that feels premium and bright even under direct sunlight. The waterdrop notch is a new display design for smartphones. It has a larger wider uninterrupted screen as buttons and front camera have been relocated to maximize screen ratio. Oppo F9 has adopted this waterdrop style notch along with thin bezels all around utilising the entire front side of the phone.

Battery  

The 3,500MAH battery is capable of lasting through an entire day of active usage. Oppo phones regularly have VOOC that ensures fast charging. When used with a micro USB cable and adapter it will charge the phone battery by 50% in less than 30 minutes. The Oppo F9 can deliver a high productivity performance being a budget-friendly priced phone. 

Gaming & Interface 

The Oppo F9 is a gaming-friendly device even if it can not record at 4K and 1080p recording is limited at 30FPS but it will manage to display intensive gaming without draining your battery life. The Oppo F9 has its display resolution limit, it will heat up during high intensive gameplay and won't be able to display visuals perfectly in games like Fortnite and PUBG. It is built with the Android v8.1 (Oreo) OS that has all the essential smart shortcut organiser keys to seamlessly navigate applications but has been replaced by newer OS versions. The Colour OS offers customizable swipe-up gestures to navigate applications but does not have an App Drawer. The multi-application running is smooth and fast enabling users to switch back and forth between applications without freezing or phone crashing risks. 

Connectivity Features

The F9 has all the essential connectivity features Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct and hotspot support for easy internet access. The Bluetooth and GPS are able to connect to third party devices and create smooth navigation on Google Maps. There is a 3.5 MM jack to connect headphones and an external loudspeaker. The FM radio can tune into your local radio station. There is USB, MicroUSB 2.0, USB On-The-Go connectivity along with a Sensors Fingerprint reader that is rear-mounted. The accelerometer, gyro, proximity and compass are preinstalled in the F9.
