Oppo Reno 3 vs Oppo Reno 3 Pro

Oppo Reno 3 Pro was launched alongside Reno 3 in March 2020 as a mid-range featured-packed phone. Both feature a gradient finish, quad rear cameras and dual-mode 5G support. While the Reno 3 features a waterdrop-style display notch, the Reno 3 Pro has a hole-punch display. Both phones also have different processors.

Display & Cameras

Oppo Reno 3 Pro comes with a beautiful gradient on the rear that catches and reflects light. Though the design is lovely, the phone is a fingerprint magnet and needs to be wiped every now and then. Made out of glossy polycarbonate body and Gorilla Glass 5 on the front, the phone has a headphone jack on the bottom.

Due to the materials used, Reno 3 Pro is lightweight and a comfortable hold. The fingerprint reader is fast, reliable and accurate most of the time. Back of the phone has a camera bump which becomes annoying if you try to operate the phone laying it on a flat surface. With slim bezels on the front, the screen has a dual punch-hole on the left corner, that is a bit of a distraction.

Reno 3 Pro's rear quad camera setup gives a great daylight performance and packs immense detail. The dynamic range is excellent and there isn't any noise either. When it comes to nighttime photography, sadly the cameras struggle to perform and produce a lot of noise in the images.

Performance & Gaming

Reno 3 Pro comes with an 8 GB of RAM which is huge for a midranger. Though the phone is great for everyday tasks, it isn't good enough for heavy gaming. The screen refresh rate could have been better as many rival brands are providing better refresh rates in this price range. Overall the performance of this phone is good and the battery life is also impressive but it struggles if you play games on it.
