Oppo Reno 5 Pro

Reno 5 Pro is an all-glass design with an aluminium frame but no Corning Glass protection. The phone also does not carry any IP rating. It is a 5G ready phone with dual sim support but comes without an SD card slot or an audio jack.

Display & Performance

The large 6.55 inches Super AMOLED screen has a refresh rate of 90Hz which is a bit of a let down for such a premium-priced phone. Rival phones in this price segment are offering a 120Hz refresh rate such as the Xiaomi Mi 11X Pro. As for the performance, Oppo Reno 5 Pro is fast and reliable and causes no lags or stutters while gaming or even switching between apps.

Cameras

Oppo Reno 5 Pro has an impressive range of cameras that are the main highlight of the phone. It is refreshing to see such a high-quality front camera with a 32 MP sensor. It takes excellent selfies with accurate tones and clarity. There is a quad-camera module on the rear with a 64MP main shooter.

The main camera takes excellent and well-saturated daylight as well as nighttime pictures and videos with ample detail and clarity. It supports 4K shooting and produces sharp and well-balanced imagery. On the downside, the 4K videos are capped at 30 fps as at least 60fps should have been offered at this price point.

Battery & Charging

One of the best features of the Oppo Reno 5 Pro is the 65W fast charging support. It juices up the phone from 0 to 100% in just 30 minutes. The phone however does not support wireless charging which is a bit of a disappointment for a smartphone in this price segment. Also, the battery should have been at least a 5000 mAh capacity whereas it is 4350 mAh that has a good if not an amazing battery mileage.
