Panasonic Lumix G7

Panasonic 4K cameras are loved by many for their sharp quality and great specs. With the constant need for improving image quality, 4K cameras are a trend now. You should already be recording in 4K if you are not really satisfied with your HD videos. One of the best options in the entry-level mirrorless world is Panasonic Lumix G7 that came out in 2015. The camera features a Micro Four Thirds lens mount with a lightweight and compact body that is great for travellers.

Design & Build

The camera may give you a plasticky feel when you hold it as it has a textured plastic finish. Other than that, it is a very well-built camera featuring a metal tripod socket, metal lens mount, high-quality aluminium chassis etc. The fully articulated 3-inch screen can be used at multiple angles and gives ease of handling and shooting, Lumix G7 is a compact and lightweight camera which is due to it not having any mirror box. It comes from the Micro Four Thirds stock and is available in black or silver.

Performance 

You can shoot ultra-high-quality 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) pictures and videos in 24 or 30p frames rates at 100Mbps. Panasonic Lumix G7 is considered one of the best 4K video shooters and delivers crisp and sharp results. G7's autofocus system is also one of its main attractions being super fast and accurate. The camera produces noise-free images at ISO 100 to 1600 but above 3200, you can see slight noise in pictures. Lumix G7 delivers great nighttime photography results with the maximum shutter speed of 60 seconds. This allows for capturing in more light and excellent results even in low lighting conditions. 

Connectivity & Battery Life 

Panasonic Lumix G7 is equipped with WIFI connectivity that helps you transfer your photos and videos from your camera to smart devices. Download the Panasonic Image App on your Android devices and tap on WIFI. There will be the same Wi-Fi network on the camera screen that you just have to tap on to establish a connection. There are also USB 2.0, microHDMI TypeD, microphone ports but no NFC in the camera. The battery gives approximately 350 shots per a single charge which is ok but could have been better. Most rivalling cameras are offering better battery life than Lumix G7 and also at a better price.
