A video game set in the Wild West, in the year 1899. The fictional story is centred around outlaw Arthur Morgan, a member of the Van der Linde gang. This is the third installation in the series from Rockstar Games; the studio that also gave the world Grand Theft Auto. Red Dead Redemption 2 has the biggest weekend in entertainment ever, raking in $725 million. 

Red Dead Redemption 2 can be played on multiple platforms, including Sony PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows and Stadia.

The protagonist must survive against government forces, rival gangs and other adversaries; all during the decline of the West. The gameplay is shown through both first and third-person perspectives. The player can roam around the digital world freely. Though some of that has been curtailed for the sake of realism. Players can use various attacks such as melee, shooting, throw blades and use explosives. The environment has a lot happening aside from the main story as well, things that one can explore.

All the characters one can imagine from that time can be seen in the game, from the Native Americans to Pinkerton detectives.

Plot purpose

The purpose given to the player is in relation to the world changing. The progress in the world is leaving the outlaw life behind, so Arthur decides to make enough money to leave this lifestyle. This is the mission players must help him achieve.

The price of this game is in the mid-ranges. This game is rated for an age group of 18 and above as there is extremely graphic violence, sexual content and strong language.
