Display & Design

Galaxy A12 comes with a plastic back and a plastic frame. It has a glass front but lacks Gorilla Glass protection. Overall the design is good with thin bezels and a large 6.5 inches PLS IPS screen.

Galaxy A12 also has a blue light filter to reduce eye strain. There is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner that is quick and responsive. The phone is available in Black, White, Blue and Red finishes. 

Performance & Gaming

It is refreshing to learn that a mid-ranger like Samsung Galaxy A12 is a fast performing smartphone. The latest chipset combined with 3 to 6 GB RAM delivers blazing speeds and makes loading and switching between apps quick and smooth.

The phone is great for casual gaming as it can smoothly run lightweight games such as Mobile Legends but at low graphics settings. However, the phone lacks some major gaming features and has the tendency to lag while playing heavy games such as PUBG Mobile and Call of Duty Mobile. Even lowering the graphic settings doesn't help. 

Cameras & Battery

The battery mileage of Galaxy A12 is excellent and would last a day and a half of heavy usage. While the battery supports fast charging, it doesn't support reverse or wireless charging.

Samsung Galaxy A12 has a quad-camera arrangement on the rear with a 48 MP main sensor. The front has a single 8 MP selfie camera. Overall the cameras are mediocre and aren't powerful with limited results.
