Tecno Spark 6

Tecno is known for producing affordable smartphones for the younger generations or for people with a constrained budget, the Spark 6 is also along these lines. The design is simple and there are multiple colour options that include Ocean Blue, Comet Black, Dynamic Orange and Misty Violet. The camera bump on the rear is circular and quite flush so as to not get in the way.

Internals and OS

Powered by the MediaTek G70, which is an octa-core processor with a clock speed of 1.8GHz. This processor can handle some gaming, though this device is not made for heavy gaming. There is 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage space, the latter can be increased via a microSD card to add on another TB of space. That would take care of all your space needs, but keep in mind if your device is lost the memory card is easy to access.

With Android 10 running as the base OS, the Spark 6 gets an added boost due to Machine Learning. On top of this Tecno has added on their HiOS 6.0 that has some customization options that the base Android layer doesn't have.

Camera and Display

The fact that one gets a quad camera setup in this smartphone is impressive as that is generally something smartphones in a class higher than this one have. The main sensor is a 16MP one, with two 2MP sensors one of which is for depth sensing and the other for shooting macro. The fourth sensor is a QVGA AI lens that adds on more details to your pictures. The camera app allows for modes such as Panorama and HDR. This sensor setup also lets the device phase detect.

The selfie camera is an 8MP one and there is also an LED flash on the front side.

For the display, Tecno has given this device a 6.8 inch one, which is a large display by any standard. The resolution is 720 x 1640 pixels, which makes it HD and this display is based on an IPS LCD panel.

Connectivity, Sensors and Battery

Connectivity can be achieved via WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, FM Radio and Data. There is a microUSB port for physical connectivity and one can also connect headphones through the 3.5mm audio jack. There are only two sensors, an accelerometer and a proximity sensor; this can be a bit limiting for users who want a higher-level experience. Aside from the Spark 6 also features a fingerprint reader set into the rear and has face unlocking abilities.

The battery in this device is large at 5000mAh it can easily see you through your day and then some. The cell technology behind it is Li-Polymer which means it is as slim as possible when it comes to the form.
