Tom Ford Noir

Tom Ford's career really kicked off when he was hired by Gucci to rejuvenate the brand. Later on, creating a brand by his own name, the designer did well again. Aside from the dark and mysterious line of clothes that Tom Ford creates, the same kind of style imprint is part of the fragrances created by the brand.

A complex and layered scent for men, Noir is deep and has a lot of aromatic tone alone with spice and wood. The top layer is made from violet, pink pepper, caraway, bergamot and verbena. This layer gives one spice and citrus, with an airy, floral scent from the violet.

From the top layer, one is led to the heart notes that are made from Bulgarian rose, black pepper, nutmeg, geranium, clary sage and Tuscan iris. The heart notes are also in a similar line, with a difference that there isn't any citrus but one finds some Fougere, green as well. Rooting all this at the base one finds a lot of musky and deeper notes.

The base layer is made from amber, vanilla, civet, leather, Indonesian patchouli leaf, benzoin, vetiver, styrax and opoponax. This layer is full of resins as well that give Noir a very deep and dark tonality towards the end and something that is befitting of the name which means black in French.
