Versace Oud Oriental

Versace was started by Gianni Versace and his siblings in 1978; the fashion house was a success almost instantly. It is a favourite of many celebrities and socialites all over the world. Over time the Versace label expanded into a lot of other products including fragrances. There are many favourites in the perfume section, with Versace Oud Oriental among those.

Versace Oud Oriental

Released in 2014 as a complementary scent to the Versace Oud Noir cologne, this perfume was targeting the Middle East region. This too is inspired by the Orient and is a rich, hot, luxurious scent.

The top layer is made from rose, saffron and freesia. At the heart, one finds patchouli, heliotrope and violet. Both these layers give it floral tones, with some earthy spice from patchouli. The base has oud, leather, sandalwood and vanilla. This base layer is where the oriental tones are and give the scent a very opulent feel. This perfume has a lot of wood notes too that are from the sandalwood.

Versace Oud Oriental is a great choice if you like oriental tones with some powdery floral hints to balance it out for a more feminine feel.

The sillage is decent and the staying power is good, so one can have this work for them for a few hours easily.
