Overview

Vicks balm is a topical ointment applied directly onto the skin surface to soothe symptoms of sore throat, cough, cold and sinus acting as a fast action medicine. There are medicated vapours that are released when applied to the neck and chest area.

Description

The Vicks Balm vapours are soothing and healing instantly start working to provide relief from congressional coughing. It can also be applied to the muscles and joints strained or mildly aching. Apply to the skin up to 3 times a day or consult your local doctor for further directions. Do not use Vicks Balm on children younger than 2 years old. Vicks balm will suppress coughing, open up the nasal passage and provide healing warmth to the chest and neck. Apply a thick layer of the balm and keeping it covered with warm and dry clothing that will maximise its healing effects.

Be sure to keep Vicks Balm away from your eyes as it can cause severe irritation.

Ingredients

Made with camphor, eucalyptus oil and menthol that are fast-acting cough suppressants making it easier to fall asleep by giving the body the chance to recover from fatigue. The balm is created using neutral compounds such as cedar leaf oil, nutmeg oil, petrolatum, thymol and turpentine oil that thicken the medicine so that it creates an even thick layer on the skin. It is advised to not mix the Vicks Balm into boiling hot water as the whiplash can burn your skin.
