Display & Design

The flagship screen is an attractive feature of the S1, as it has a large 6.38 inches screen with an AMOLED panel that covers the entire front panel of the phone. The cinematic 19.5:9 aspect ratio has a high definition resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. The video playback is satisfying and highly enjoyable with being able to see the deep blacks and high contrast in high-resolution settings. The only disruption in the phones perfect symmetry screen is the placement of the front camera that is at the top, placed within the waterdrop notch design.

The AMOLED panel has excellent viewing angles that make it easy to share videos with a large group on the phone. It can deliver perfect visual and video playback for streaming and gameplay. There is also an upgraded version having been released called VIVO S1 Pro. The design has a premium feel for a budget phone with a Vivo signature gradient pattern available in two different colour variants in Diamond Black and Skyline Blue. The glass-finish chassis is polycarbonate that is durable and attractive plastic with a glossy finish. The Diamond Black colour has a beautiful diamond pattern etched with gold accents around the tri-setup rear camera but the Skyline Blue is more eye-catching and looks more premium quality in comparison.

Battery

The large 4,500 MAH will deliver up to 2 days of uninterrupted battery time at the resting position. During intensive processing, multi-tasking and video streaming it will last up to 8 to 12 hours. Even though the battery is bigger than other models and could take a long time to recharge with a regular charger the 18W Dual-Engine fast-charging technology ensure that it takes less time to fully power back up. Unfortunately, this model does not support Type-C charging port which will mean users need to carry the dedicated charging cable for the phone. But with the optimized intelligent processing software and power-efficient CPU the 4500 MAH won't give users any battery life trouble. 

Camera

The 32 MP selfie camera is made from the advanced triple-lens setup that includes the popular super-wide-angle lens ideal for large group selfies and wide panoramic landscape shots. It would with an F/2.0 aperture that can offer good results with the crisp clarity of colour and definition. The secondary sensor focuses on capturing details, fine textures and is able to create beautiful portrait photographs. The Vivo S1 has a user-friendly camera application with a variety of photography modes and filters. The efficient AI Beautify tools can adjust any facial feature to desired preferences. The AR stickers, portrait, Pro mode, Live photos and other tools will allow users to enhance their selfies.

Memory & CPU

The S1 runs on the powerful MediaTek Helio P65 chipset that can deliver smooth and efficient data processing and seamless application multitasking 24/7. The model comes in three memory variants with 4GB and 6GB RAM paired with either 128GB or 64GB of internal storage. The inbuilt support of a triple-slot hybrid SIM card tray offers users the ability to expand internal storage. There are two nano SIM-card placements and a dedicated slot for a microSD card. Easily updating your phone's memory while being able to use two sim cards in one phone.

Gaming

The phone can handle demanding processing needs of day-to-day personal and professional needs of every user. It could run high-end games but the popular PUBG will not run smoothly on the default HD or High settings. Users are recommended to run intensive games on the Balanced and High graphics settings to play their favourite multi player games.
