Vivo V21

Vivo is from the same family as OnePlus, Oppo and Real me; all of whom are owned by BBK Electronics. The technology crossbreeds among them, making for reliable devices with primed features.

Vivo V21 internals and OS

At the centre of this device, one finds the MediaTek Dimensity 800U, a processor that has an octa-core setup with a clock speed of 2.4Ghz. Added onto this is a GPU, the Mali-G57 MC3, which takes off the visual load from the main processor. For tasking, there is 8GB of RAM and the storage is 128GB of UFS 2.2, a higher performance standard of storage. In case this storage is not enough one can add in a microSDXC card to expand space.

The base OS is Android 11, with FunTouchOS 11.1 layered on top. Android 11 features Machine Learning, this lets the device pace up its performance by picking up on user input patterns. The FunTouchOS 11.1 layer has its own edge with customisations and icon animations. It also features Ultra Game Mode that lets resources be diverted to your game and keeping everything else running at a minimal, this lets the V21 run games smoother.

Display and camera

With a 6.44-inch display that is based on AMOLED, making it super bright and crisp. The resolution is at 1080 x 2404 pixels, this brings the pixels per inch to 409. The refresh rate is at 90Hz with this being an HDR10+ display. These display specs make it a good for mobile gaming.

The main camera system has a triple sensor setup, with the main sensor that is at 64MP f/1.9. This shoots a little wide so one can get ample coverage of their space when shooting. The second sensor is an 8MP f/2.2 and it is for ultra-wide shots. Lastly, this side has a depth sensor that is at 2MP f/2.4. Also with EIS, making for stable shots. All this combined along with the camera app open up many shooting modes as well. This includes night mode, bokeh, super macro, HDR, pano and more. Video on this side is either at 4K or 1080p, both with a frame rate of 30fps. 

On the front, there is a 44MP f/2.0 sensor that is a higher-end spec and can take great shots. This is side also has various shooting modes and shoots video the same as the main module. Both sides also feature LED flashes in case they are needed.

Connectivity, sensors and more

The connectivity gamut includes WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and Data up to 4G. Porting options have a USB Type-C 2.0 and a 3.5mm audio jack for your wired headphones or speakers. The USB port also has the USB On-the-Go feature, this lets you use the smartphone as a way to access flash drives.

Sensors on the Vivo V12 include the full range with an accelerometer, a compass, a gyro and a proximity sensor. A fingerprint reader is also featured, it is embedded into the display.

To power all this Vivo has fit the V21 with a 4000mAh battery that is the Li-Polymer kind. It can also be charged faster with the fast charging ability, making it easier to top up. The brand says 63% can be done in 30 minutes.
