Vivo Y33s

Vivo is one of the various Chinese brands that produce Android smartphones. It is from the same parent brand as Oppo, Realme and OnePlus. The variety includes options that are affordable, mid-range or even at the top end of the price range. The Vivo Y33s is a mid-range device with a decent amount of power for affordable gaming and content creation as well. The design is sleek, with a slim form and neat camera bump.

Vivo Y33s OS and internals

With Android 11 as the base and FunTouch OS 11.1 is layered on top. This base layer gives one access to Machine Learning abilities so you have optimisation going on at a core level. This lets your device learn patterns and then perform better in reflection to them. With the FunTouch OS 11.1 layer, you can customise much more, in fact, an overwhelming level. Just the lock screen space can be changed in every sense, how it responds when it starts charging or when you enter your fingerprint.

Aside from this one can change up animations and icons, as well as have access to modes that help focus and other such edges to it. This degree of personalisation lets one really set their device up how they feel suits them best.

Cameras and display

The main camera module has a triple sensor setup. The main sensor is a 50MP f/1.8 and shoots a tad wide so you get more into your shot. The other two are both 2MP f/2.4, one which works for depth sensing and the other is for macro shots. This side has modes for shooting that include HDR, Pano, Super Night, Bokeh and more. 

The selfie camera constitutes a sensor that is 16MP f/2.0. Video from the selfie camera can be shot at 1080p with a frame rate of 30fps. The main side has this same video standard as well as 4K at 30fps as well. With the main camera, there is also EIS so your shooting is stable even while walking or from a vehicle.

The display technology this device has is an IPS LCD, with a size of 6.58 inches. The resolution is at 1080 x 2408 pixels, at this screen size it brings the pixel density to 406 pixels per inch. This display is able to give one a clear and smooth experience for their media as well as games.

Connectivity, sensors and the rest

There is a full set of connectivity possibilities, this includes WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and Data standards up to 4G. Physical options are in the form of a USB Type-C 2.0 or the 3.5mm audio jack. For feedback, there is a range of sensors. The Vivo Y33s has an accelerometer, a compass, a gyro and a proximity sensor. These provide data for the various functions the smartphone needs to execute. There is also a fingerprint reader on the side, this makes for super-fast unlocking.

The battery in this smartphone is large, with a capacity of 5000mAh; it also functions as a power bank that can be used to charge other devices. Featuring Fast Charging so one can top up in a shorter time.
