Xiaomi Mi Band 5

Band 5 has the same look and features as the Band 4 but there are some minor upgrades. Women’s Health & PAI is a new addition that helps women track their menstrual cycles. Mi Band 5 comes with 5ATM waterproof rating so minor liquid splashes and dust won't damage the device. If it gets dirty you can even wash the band under running water without damaging it.

Design & Band

Xiaomi Mi Band 5 seems quite like the band 4 but is better in terms of design and other features. The curved glass is now flat and the screen got bigger. Mi Band 5's strap is black in colour and made of high-quality TPU or silica material. The body is made out of polycarbonate. It is durable and looks great too. Band 5's casing is made out of TPSiV Thermoplastic copolyester that is a durable elastomer that prevents tackiness during long wearing of the device. Women’s Health & PAI is a new addition that helps women track their menstrual cycles.

Display & Battery

The Mi Band 5 uses a coloured AMOLED display and the size is now increased to 1 inch. The AMOLED touchscreen indicates time, your heartbeat, alerts, steps taken, weather forecast etc. Charging Band 5 is easy and doesn't require frequent charging as it has a good battery capacity of 14 days on a single charge. The charger is lightweight and compact that can easily be carried around and fits in your bag or pocket.

Connectivity

To function, Mi Band 5 needs to be synced with your smartphone. Mi Fit is Band 5 app that can be downloaded on your Windows or Android smartphones. You can connect Mi Band 5 to your smartphone through Bluetooth and track your activity, steps, sleep pattern, heart rate as well as time, weather forecast etc. You can change all settings by going into the app of Xiaomi Mi Band 5. Though it is a good app, it sure could use some improvement as many users have come across many difficulties while using it.
