Description

The trend of not wasting time browsing multiple stores looking for loose fabric and then hunting down the perfect craftsman to do the embroidery on the suit is leading women to faster fashion options. The variety of gowns are updated and revised frequently to make sure that all kinds of patterns, styles, colours and embroideries are used. With over 25 years of expertise in creating evening and wedding wear for women, Zahra Ahmad now released designs twice every week. Their bridals, luxury pret and pret collections are highly sought after designs among young Pakistani women.

Unstitched Party Dresses

There are 10 to 15 designs released under the unstitched suiting variety available using Maysuri fabric that drapes perfectly in an eastern silhouette. Luxury pure silk gold printing is done to create an intricate panel design that starts at the empire line of the bodice and flows down into a large hemmed gown. The embroideries used include Cross stitch, chatta patti, zarri, gota work, sequence work to embellish the neckline, gharara, lengha, sleeves and daman areas.

The shirts and gown are paired with lightweight cambric fabric Dhaka pyjamas or straight-leg pants. There are seasonal theme embellishments that help create the perfect balance in the design, for winter there will be velvet pattis with gold work on them and during the summer silk printed pattis are used. As compared to high fashion designer wear these designs are much lower in price point making it easy to buy multiple outfits saving time and money while preparing clothes for a wedding. 

Luxury Pret

The luxury pret collections by Zahra Ahmad are themed and curated, each collection uses different embellishments and cuts from various eastern craftsmanship traditions. The chiffon flared gowns are approximately 8 yards, enough to create a voluminous can-can that is ruffled to create a dramatic drape around the body. The digitally printed bodice has crochet or gota details to create stylish borders around the empire line and sleeves. The silk printed daaman border is made from gold-coloured tissue fabric adding an extra flair to the dress. 

Summer Party Dresses 

The bright colours are paired with jamawar fabric to create the lavish panelled gown, these party dresses are great for pre-wedding or main reception functions. The mehndi pret wear for brides has elegant gold tilla work in floral motifs that feel handcrafted.
These designs are budget-friendly and readily available online. Their embellished necklines have gota loops, fun prints in abstract and geometric design while the bodice has a border of embossed floral embroidery. The detailed on the sleeves and daaman have chatta patti, scallops in sequin embroidery with a colourful base border. The borders have floral laces to add more colour and create weight around the grown so it falls well on the body. The printed edging matched the jacquard dupatta perfectly. 

Designer Formal Collection

With collection names like Chand Chehra Sitara Ankhain, Maharaani and Gori Karet Singhar, the Zahra Ahmad fashion house creates poetic feminine aesthetics around their designs. They want women to feel modern and capture a traditional style that blends well with the western gown cut.

The use of short shirts with printed silk sections is paired with brightly coloured organza accents to create a peplum flare around the bodice. The use of criss-cross threadwork in gold dori embroidery will be carefully placed on the sleeves and around flared hemline. The glamourous lehengas are created using digitally printing on silk with approximately 5 yards of fabric.

Traditional Festive Dresses

Other popular designs include the double-layered panelled and flared Anarkali dress that will have tissue organza fabric in itself (which means matching the same colour as the base). The organza tissue fabric will have gold threadwork on the panels, gota kinari embellishment on the neckline, diamante studs, lace border on the sleeves and a double-layered gown with a standing can-can. The colours are selected to create a dramatic contrast using hot pinks, parrot greens and shimmery crochet pieces to compose the perfect wedding wear.
