The derma roller is recommended to be used every 7 days or once a month for sensitive skin types. 

Derma Roller Treatment 

These treatments can be expensive and hard to maintain as results will not last for a very long time. The Derma roller is a micro-needling treatment that uses small fine needles in the form of a rolling brush to puncture the epidermis of the skin.

This treatment aims to rejuvenate skin by using needles to boost collagen production. Each treatment will take 4 to 8 weeks to show results. This is not for immediate results, as it treats the skins deep tissue to activate regeneration cells. Collagen is a structural protein produced within the skin and fat tissues keeping the skin wrinkle-free. Over time the collagen in our bodies reduces and this is the main reason for fine lines and loose skin to start appearing. The derma roller will stir your skins collagen-producing tissues improving the overall texture of your skin. 

Instructions & Directions  

The derma roller has some essential instructional steps that every user follow for maximum results. Be sure to cleanse your wash with mild face wash and towel dry, next apply 5 to 12 layers of a serum given with the derma roller. This serum must be applied in layers with one drying before applying the next layer. Give yourself 1o to 15 minutes for this step. After all the layers have been applied take the derma roller and go over each section of your face in upward, sideways and diagonal directional glides. After having given each section of your face 1 to 2 minutes of Derma roller treatment, apply another layer of the serum to your face.

Needle Size

0.25 MM

This is the smallest sized needles used in derma rollers that do not cause any bleeding and are pain-free. These rollers can be used every day as part of your morning beauty routine but should not be used more than once a day as they can cause irritability on sensitive skin types. 

0.5 MM

As per instructions on the Deram Roller website, it is optional to used pain numbing cream for this size as it is mildly painful to the skin. Users will see minimal bleeding and experience some redness after applications. The tenderness of the skin will help activate collagen growth, this treatment will take weeks to start showing improvements in the skin. Recommended use should be kept to once a week. Do not exceed this frequency as it can cause adverse effects on the skin. 

0.75 - 1.0 MM

Used for acne scaring and mature skin, treats wrinkles, fine lines and improved skin texture. This needle size can feel moderately painful as compared to smaller sized derma rollers. It will cause some active red spots on the skin. Similar but less painful sensation to laser beauty treatments done by dermatologists. it is recommended to use this treatment one in 4 to 6 weeks.  

1.0 - 3.00 MM

The 3.00 MM needle is the thicked and largest sized derma roller, it is recommended to use numbing cream 20 minutes before applying this treatment. It will be painful and cause bleeding. Once you wipe off the blood the redness will continue for the rest of the day. It is advised to not expose skin to sunlight or harsh elements after the treatment. Stay indoors and keep skin hydrated with good quality face moisturizer.
